Summary

Deloitte India is hiring a seasoned Associate Director – Financial Due Diligence (also known as FDD Associate Director or Transaction Services Associate Director) to join its Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SRT) team. This senior leadership role is based in Mumbai or Bengaluru and focuses on executing and managing complex financial due diligence (FDD) engagements for mergers, acquisitions, and investment transactions across sectors.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Director – FDD, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing end-to-end financial due diligence assignments for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, working capital trends, EBITDA adjustments, and cash flow impacts.
  • Preparing financial due diligence reports, executive summaries, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Managing client relationships, including negotiation of deliverables and timelines.
  • Coordinating with internal teams such as tax, legal, and valuation experts for a seamless client experience.
  • Advising clients on deal structures and commercial implications based on FDD findings.
  • Supporting business development activities through proposal development and client pitches.
  • Training and mentoring junior team members and building domain expertise within the practice.

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Deep understanding of financial due diligence processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Expertise in transaction services, corporate finance, and deal advisory.
  • Strong financial analysis skills including valuation analysis, P&L reconciliation, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Experience in preparing client-ready reports, charts, and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and professional integrity.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a top-tier institute.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FDD, M&A, or transaction services.
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 or similar professional services firm is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements as needed.
