Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network and endpoint data to detect anomalous and malicious activities.
  • Lead proactive cyber threat hunting initiatives using behavior analysis and threat intelligence.
  • Detect, isolate, and neutralize sophisticated cyber threats that bypass traditional security tools.
  • Develop and implement detection rules and hunt scenarios aligned with latest threat actor TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures).
  • Maintain and enhance sandbox environments for malware analysis and reverse engineering.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to exceed expectations and deliver insightful cyber threat reports.
  • Stay updated with emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and quarterly cyber defense reports for stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework for threat hunting.
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, DNS security, AD security, and adversary tactics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Event IDs and process-related event analysis for hunting queries.
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and IBM QRadar for query logic and alerting.
  • Ability to analyze network packets and interpret log data from multiple security devices.
  • Basic malware analysis skills and sandbox environment management.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills for threat intelligence documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutes.
  • Proven experience in cyber threat hunting or incident response roles.
  • Familiarity with cyber risk management and information security best practices is a plus.
