Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager in Risk Control, you will:
- Collaborate with client CISOs and CIOs to develop IT/IS control libraries covering Access Management, Cloud Security, Data Privacy, Vulnerability Management, and Security Monitoring.
- Review and rationalize client policies, procedures, and control frameworks to optimize control design.
- Conduct Control Design Adequacy Assessments to identify remediation needs and compliance with frameworks like COBIT and NIST.
- Facilitate workshops with control owners to discuss design gaps and recommend pragmatic remediation plans including quick wins and strategic improvements.
- Support enhancement of IT and Data Record controls aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Assist in designing new security controls to meet evolving banking and cybersecurity standards.
- Drive collaboration with stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defense for seamless risk and controls assurance.
- Maintain strong documentation and reporting to support audit readiness and risk mitigation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 4-6 years’ experience in risk management, controls assurance, internal audit, or cybersecurity—preferably with exposure to global banking clients.
- Certified in ISO 27001, CRISC, or CISA (mandatory); CISSP certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT.
- Deep knowledge of internal control types including preventive, detective, and anti-fraud controls.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and global banking risks related to IT, information security, and data management.
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working in regulated environments with complex governance and risk requirements.
- Technically savvy with a strong orientation towards cybersecurity, resilience, and transformation initiatives.
