🔍 Role Overview
As a Senior Team Lead in Fund Accounting and Reporting, you’ll lead fund financial operations, oversee capital activity processes, ensure timely delivery of investor reporting, and manage internal teams while collaborating with external fund administrators and auditors.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage end-to-end fund accounting for Hedge Funds and Private Equity clients.
- Oversee the preparation of journal entries, NAV/GAV packages, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Track and record capital activities: subscriptions, redemptions, contributions, distributions, transfers, and rollups.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with fund administrators, external auditors, and investor relations teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely client deliverables including investor notices, cash reconciliations, and trade bookings.
Audit & Compliance
- Handle year-end audit coordination and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Manage reporting and ensure audit-readiness for all fund-related transactions.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Train, coach, and upskill junior team members.
- Lead by example, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.
🧠 Skills & Competencies
- Deep domain expertise in Hedge Fund and Private Equity accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP, fund structures, and capital allocations
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage ambiguity
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
🎓 Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory
- Prior experience in financial services or fund administration preferred
- Exposure to writing technical articles or whitepapers is a plus
