Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Data Scientist (Computer Vision), you will:

• Design and implement AI and computer vision models for object detection, tracking, segmentation, and recognition.
• Use deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop, train, and optimize ML models.
• Work with CNNs, RCNNs, YOLO, Mask RCNN, and other architectures for semantic segmentation and classification.
• Preprocess, annotate, and prepare datasets (video/image) for training and evaluation.
• Deploy models on embedded systems, edge devices, or cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Conduct performance evaluations on models (accuracy, latency, resource usage).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI use cases and business problems.
• Follow Agile methodologies, and use tools like JIRA and GitHub for project management and version control.
• Document AI models and technical approaches for future reuse and scalability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in computer vision, object detection, and deep learning.
• Proficiency in Python programming and relevant libraries (OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas).
• Experience with Fast RCNN, Faster RCNN, YOLO, MobileNet, etc.
• Familiarity with GPU/TPU environments for high-performance model training.
• Experience in video/image labeling, annotation tools, and large dataset handling.
• Understanding of model deployment on embedded systems or cloud platforms.
• Exposure to IIoT, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing technologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• Industry experience in automobile, manufacturing, or service domains.
• Experience in predictive analytics, NLP, responsible AI, or LLMs is a bonus.
