Key Responsibilities
- Process insurance claims accurately and within required turnaround time
- Analyze medical documents, policy records, and claims history to apply business rules
- Identify claims trends and flag potential fraud or inconsistencies
- Meet or exceed performance benchmarks for productivity, quality, and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high client satisfaction
- Support audits and reporting functions including IGO/NIGO and productivity reports
- Assist with training new hires and sharing process improvements
- Offer flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts based on client needs
Core Skills Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, data entry, and navigating web-based platforms
- Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities
- High attention to detail and accountability for quality outcomes
- Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in claims operations, medical records review, or insurance BPO is a plus
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree (any discipline)
- 2+ years in claims processing or healthcare operations preferred
- Experience with Windows-based office systems and web tools
- Knowledge of medical coding standards such as CPT, ICD9/10, and HCPCS is advantageous
- Ability to work in rotational/night shifts and hybrid work model (home & office)
- A broadband internet connection is required for remote work
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years in health insurance claims (life, disability, or medical)
- Experience interpreting medical documents, contracts, or legal documents
- Prior role involving direct communication with clients or stakeholders
- Exposure to U.S. healthcare processes and terminology
