Responsibilities
- Provide expert Level 3 Linux/Unix system administration and operational support for critical banking infrastructure.
- Manage and monitor Linux environments including IaaS, virtual machines, standalone nodes, and Veritas clusters.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute advanced OS administration tasks and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate processes and workflows to improve efficiency using scripting and tools like Ansible.
- Handle vendor escalations and partner with multiple teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Generate reports and metrics for management to track system performance and prioritize tasks.
- Adhere to corporate policies and implement appropriate controls for secure and compliant operations.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to maintain high customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Adapt to global team schedules and changing business demands.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7 years hands-on Linux/Unix administration experience, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7 and 8).
- Strong expertise with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Linux clustering solutions.
- Proficient in system performance tuning, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Experience with Oracle Database and ASM is a plus.
- Skilled in scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks and workflows.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across global teams and diverse cultures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, and self-initiative.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and high-pressure environments.
- Relevant Red Hat Administration certification is an advantage.
