Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Team Lead – Fund Accounting, you will:
- Oversee end-to-end fund accounting operations for investment funds and asset managers.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, NAV calculations, and regulatory reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing training, reviews, and performance feedback.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring adherence to GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders to support financial statement audits.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards, fund regulations, and market practices.
- Ensure process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency across reporting cycles.
- Manage client relationships and deliver high-quality, timely financial outputs.
- Identify risks in fund accounting processes and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Required Skills
- Expertise in fund accounting, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and fund-related compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting tools, and financial systems.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage workloads efficiently.
- Problem-solving mindset and familiarity with controls and reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA) preferred but not mandatory.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, or audit roles.
- Experience working with global asset managers, hedge funds, or investment firms is a strong advantage.
