Role Overview
As the Manager – AWS Engineering, you will spearhead Deloitte India’s cloud engineering projects by designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS-based solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure while ensuring alignment with security and compliance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AWS cloud architecture, design, and implementation for enterprise projects.
- Design and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Drive DevOps automation including CI/CD pipeline setup, serverless deployments, and container orchestration.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize AWS resource utilization, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Lead technical workshops, client workshops, and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Work with global Deloitte teams to align on cloud strategy and adopt cloud-native best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.
- Deep understanding of AWS core services: EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFormation.
- Experience in DevOps, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation frameworks.
- Proficient in IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security fundamentals, governance, and compliance controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Technical leadership experience in global or matrixed organizations.
Preferred Background
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer)
- Prior experience in cloud migration, digital transformation, or enterprise-scale deployments
- Familiarity with cost optimization strategies on AWS (e.g., Reserved Instances, autoscaling)
- Proven ability to manage and mentor technical teams.
