Key Responsibilities

🔹 Payroll Governance & Excellence

  • Drive delivery excellence across payroll operations for multi-client engagements.
  • Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks, SLAs, and internal controls.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and service quality.

🔹 Compliance & Process Quality

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing aligned with statutory and contractual norms.
  • Standardize SOPs, error handling procedures, and documentation practices.
  • Monitor audit trails, risk areas, and control validations.

🔹 Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as a central point for internal and external stakeholders including HR, compliance, and client teams.
  • Facilitate new client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Deliver high client satisfaction through consistent communication and quality benchmarks.

🔹 Automation & Reporting

  • Collaborate with tech and automation teams to enhance system efficiencies.
  • Drive adoption of digital dashboards and tools for tracking payroll performance metrics.
  • Recommend automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Deep knowledge of India payroll statutory laws – PF, ESI, PT, TDS, labor codes.
  • Strong consulting background or experience in payroll shared services or third-party delivery.
  • Familiarity with ERP and payroll tools like SAP HCM, MS NAV, Tally, Darwinbox, ADP, Ramco.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in Six Sigma, ISO, or quality frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client handling capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Commerce, Finance, or HR; MBA or PGDM preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience, including 3–5 years in payroll management or consulting roles.
  • Exposure to handling payroll operations across India and global clients.
