πŸ› οΈ Key Responsibilities

As a Supplier Industrialization Engineer – Electronics, you will:

  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles early in the product lifecycle.
  • Audit, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to align with Tesla sourcing standards.
  • Manage supplier performance for on-time delivery (OTD), scalability, and quality.
  • Oversee supplier capacity, production readiness, and manufacturing operations.
  • Act as the liaison between Tesla’s GSM, SIE, and Design teams and external suppliers.
  • Lead supplier audits for compliance, part reliability, and technical requirements.
  • Track and drive improvements in supplier manufacturing processes and NPI readiness.
  • Enforce SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) and validate corrective actions.
  • Support material innovation for improved design, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

πŸ”§ Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in supply chain, electronics manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
  • Deep expertise with PCBAs, PCBs, and TLA (Top-Level Assemblies).
  • Proficiency in DFM/DFA, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab).
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and 3D CAD platforms.
  • Experience conducting statistical tolerance analysis and process validation.
  • Proven supplier development and vendor management capabilities.
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, hands-on environments and tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% with flexibility on short notice.

  • BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma or process engineering a plus.
