Key Responsibilities
As a Desktop Tester, you will be responsible for:
- Testing and validating SCCM, Intune, and Munki software packages.
- Evaluating Intune policies, loadsets, and compliance standards.
- Testing Autopilot builds to ensure smooth onboarding and user experience.
- Running and assessing Nexthink remote action scripts for performance metrics.
- Monitoring and verifying WUfB updates (quality & feature) across devices.
- Conducting Mercury Testing for MST files based on provided test cases.
- Documenting all test cases, bugs, results, and providing clear feedback.
- Collaborating with developers, infrastructure engineers, and QA stakeholders.
- Preparing and delivering summary reports for deployment and test teams.
- Staying current with desktop testing trends and optimization tools.
Required Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in SCCM, Intune, and Munki configuration and testing.
- Strong understanding of Windows desktop operating systems and environments.
- Familiarity with Autopilot, WUfB processes, and Nexthink functionalities.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, test documentation, and result tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a desktop QA, IT testing, or systems engineering role.
- Familiarity with automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Mercury Testing procedures for MSI/MST packages.
