Key Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for:
Solution Design
- Participate in client workshops to define future-state processes.
- Document business requirements using best practices in supply chain planning.
- Translate business logic into technical configurations on the o9 platform.
Configuration
- Build and configure supply chain planning models in o9 Solutions.
- Work with architects to define functional and technical design specs.
- Implement performance monitoring systems and custom workflows.
Data Analytics
- Analyze large datasets (sales, inventory, logistics, etc.) for insights.
- Use tools like R, SAS, SQL, and ETL techniques to transform and visualize data.
- Develop and refine time series forecasts and optimization models.
Testing
- Design and execute test cases to ensure accuracy and system integrity.
- Coordinate with internal R&D to resolve technical gaps or bugs.
- Work towards automating the testing framework for ongoing efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication
- Engage with clients, business teams, and IT stakeholders across regions.
- Deliver training to Super Users and End Users on platform features.
- Mentor junior analysts to build capability and domain knowledge.
Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Operations Research, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or similar.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain consulting, data analytics, or APS implementation.
- Exposure to o9 platform or similar tools like SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, etc., preferred.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end implementation lifecycle: design, build, testing, go-live.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of statistical models, optimization, and simulation tools.
- Proficient in SQL, R, SAS, and advanced Excel functions.
- Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL.
- Ability to present insights using visualization and reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication—both verbal and written—for client interaction.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical decision-making ability.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across distributed teams.
