Key Responsibilities
- Develop software for Linux-based embedded systems with a focus on router platforms
- Design, code, and debug complex modules using Embedded C/C++
- Implement and troubleshoot multithreading and core-level programming
- Integrate and configure open-source platforms like OpenWrt, Buildroot, and Yocto
- Manage and mentor 3–5 junior engineers in a fast-paced development environment
- Work on WiFi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, WPA2/3) and networking protocols (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Contribute to open-source projects and collaborate with global teams
Skills & Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of experience in embedded systems software development
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with router platform development
- Proficient in Embedded C/C++, Linux Kernel, libraries, and debugging tools
- Strong command of networking stacks: IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, ARP, STP, IGMP, DSCP, UPnP, SSDP, MLDv2
- Understanding of WiFi protocols including WPA2/WPA3, WMM
- Familiarity with Linux bootloaders, flash partitioning, BSPs, device drivers
- Proficient in Linux IPC mechanisms (ubus, D-Bus)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Modern C++ (C++11–20)
- Contributions to open-source networking or embedded platforms
- Experience with OpenWrt, Buildroot, and the Yocto Project
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
