Key Responsibilities

As a Wi-Fi Test Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• Conducting functionality, interoperability, and performance testing on:
  • Wi-Fi routers, mesh systems, extenders
  • IoT and smart home devices (home security, gateways, clients)
• Executing and validating test cases across wireless protocols (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Performing API testing for system and device interactions
• Troubleshooting network behavior using packet debuggers and monitoring tools
• Collaborating with engineering and QA teams to drive test automation and efficiency
• Ensuring seamless communication and alignment across cross-functional stakeholders

Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Wi-Fi testing / router QA
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering or related field
• Deep technical understanding of:
  • Wi-Fi standards (802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax)
  • Router and RF systems
  • Networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT, ARP, Bridging
• Proficient in tools like Wireshark, iperf, Ixia, Spirent, and Charles
• Familiarity with API testing and tools
• Knowledge of security/encryption protocols (SSL/TLS, WPA2)
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile processes

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Understanding of secondary wireless technologies:
  • Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter
• Hands-on with home automation / IoT devices
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks
