About the Role

As a Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Consultant, you will support client requirements in Oracle application development and cloud infrastructure management. You will design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views, ensuring high-performance and scalability. Your work will involve database architecture understanding, SQL tuning, and advanced problem-solving in client-facing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle objects: PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and collections.
• Optimize SQL queries using tuning techniques, explain plans, and trace files.
• Implement partitioning, indexing, and hints for high-performance solutions.
• Perform Direct Load & Conventional Load operations using SQL Loader.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and client stakeholders to understand business goals and deliver technical solutions.
• Support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration and integration with applications.
• Maintain source code using version control systems and ensure compliance with development best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance or functional issues proactively.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong command of SQL concepts: GROUP BY, JOINS, surrogate keys, constraints, datatypes, indexes.
• Expertise in advanced PL/SQL development with complex datasets.
• Knowledge of Oracle database architecture and performance tuning.
• Consulting experience with client interaction and delivery preferred.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and learning mindset, adaptable to new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of Oracle SQL/PLSQL development experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Knowledge of SQL optimization, indexing, partitioning, and SQL Loader.
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
