About the Role
As a Senior SAP TM Technical Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting SAP TM solutions for global clients. You’ll manage transportation planning, execution, and freight order processes while mentoring junior consultants and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
This role blends technical mastery in SAP TM/ABAP with business process insight, allowing you to contribute to clients’ competitive advantage through technology-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP TM technical implementation, including freight unit/order setup, service order integration, and transportation execution.
- Provide expertise in SAP TM S/4HANA Embedded for Shipper & LSP Scenarios.
- Work on freight settlement, charge calculation, and tendering profiles, ensuring process compliance.
- Customize Business Objects (BOBF), nodes, FPM UI, POWL, and Post Processing Framework to client requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical growth and collaborative delivery.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Support project planning, estimations, and delivery management for medium to large SAP TM projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and functional challenges in SAP TM landscapes.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong SAP TM technical expertise with S/4HANA TM implementation experience.
- Expertise in OOP ABAP, FPM UI, POWL, BOBF, and process controller frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of freight management, transportation cockpit, and integration setups.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and mentor teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end transportation management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or Engineering from a reputed institute.
- 5–7 years of experience in SAP Consulting with a focus on SAP TM.
- Certification in SAP Transportation Management 9.5 or above is preferred (not mandatory).
- Strong experience working across supply chain execution and logistics processes.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Hands-on experience with TM Embedded in S/4HANA.
- Exposure to Shipper & LSP scenarios, freight unit/freight order, and service order processing.
- Expertise in ABAP-based enhancements, custom business objects, and FPM UI customizations.
- Experience with POWL, Post Processing Framework, and Process Controllers.
