Role Overview
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead delivery of solution and infrastructure development services for large or complex projects. You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring reliable and optimized data solutions. This role requires advanced technical expertise in big data engineering and cloud platforms, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and maintenance of data ingestion and transformation pipelines to support business and compliance requirements.
- Process heterogeneous source data formats (Excel, CSV, TXT, PDF, databases, web) and perform EDA, outlier handling, data cleansing, and transformation.
- Write complex data transformation programs using PySpark, Databricks, and Python.
- Perform data integration and processing using Spark and Python.
- Apply performance tuning techniques to resolve issues in data pipelines.
- Collaborate with Development Leads and Engineering teams in an agile methodology.
- Develop strong working relationships with peers across Development, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
- Provide technical leadership, continuous improvement, and adherence to relevant standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in big data technologies and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, RESTful API, and JSON.
- Exposure to Azure cloud resources; experience with Angular is a plus.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.) is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical leadership skills.
