Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber D&R SIEM Consultant, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and analyzing security alerts from multiple sources including QRadar SIEM.
- Performing incident triage, classification, and escalation to higher-level SOC teams.
- Conducting threat investigations and documenting detailed incident reports.
- Assisting in containment, mitigation, and post-incident reviews.
- Using threat intelligence feeds to improve detection accuracy and response efficiency.
- Generating security metrics and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Staying current with cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for SOC process improvements.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong foundation in Cyber Security Principles—endpoint, network, database, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with IPS, WAF, EDR, AV, and firewall technologies.
- Expertise in log analysis, monitoring, and incident response.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud security operations.
- Practical knowledge of QRadar, Demisto/XSOAR, Qualys, MITRE ATT&CK, Cortex, and Shodan.
- Ability to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and perform malware analysis.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
- IBM QRadar SIEM Certification (highly preferred)
- CISSP, CEH, CISM, or other recognized security certifications
Qualifications
- Education: B.E / B.Tech (Tier 1/2 Institutes) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience: 2–5 years in a Cybersecurity, SOC, or SIEM operations role
- Availability: Willingness to work in 24×7 rotational shifts, including nights
