Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Consultant (PIM), your core responsibilities include:
- Understanding security requirements and translating them into actionable SIEM and PIM use cases
- Designing, implementing, and testing SIEM rules for real-time threat detection
- Creating and maintaining connectors, parsers, and automation workflows within SIEM/SOAR platforms
- Developing automated playbooks to streamline incident response processes
- Using Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript to create automation scripts for recurring security tasks
- Integrating multiple security tools – SIEM, EDR, firewalls, ServiceNow, and threat intelligence platforms – to enhance system efficiency
- Conducting alert tuning and data enrichment to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives
- Maintaining detailed documentation on configurations, rules, workflows, and response actions
Required Skills and Experience
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in PIM (Privileged Identity Management) and Cyber Security Operations
- Strong knowledge of Arcon PIM, SIEM, and SOAR platforms
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for tool integrations
- Experience in converting MITRE TTPs to misuse cases for enhanced detection and response
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- OEM certifications in relevant technologies (preferred)
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution.
