Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all cloud and DevOps incidents across AWS and Azure environments.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues, automation failures, and infrastructure provisioning errors.
- Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Docker, and Helm.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, automation scripts, and SOPs for faster issue resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement long-term preventive measures.
- Manage IAM policies, VPC/VNet setup, security configurations, and load balancers.
- Monitor infrastructure health using AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, and security teams to maintain high-availability, secure cloud operations.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Proven experience in multi-cloud operations (AWS & Azure).
- Strong command of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform; familiarity with CloudFormation and ARM Templates.
- Proficient in Bash/Python scripting for automation and orchestration.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and container deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of Ansible, configuration management, and cloud security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of DevOps and cloud infrastructure experience.
- Hands-on experience in AWS and Azure administration, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation scripting.
- Familiarity with 24×7 operational support models.
- Relevant certifications in AWS and Azure (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator Associate).
