Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, architecture, development, and customization of large-scale SAP Commerce (Hybris) e-commerce platforms (B2C and B2B).
- Implement Hybris CMS, e-commerce suite, and accelerator modules (Catalog Management, Inventory, Promotions, Checkout, Order Management, Search & Navigation, SEO, Personalization).
- Serve as a knowledge expert on SAP Hybris solution architecture, including globalization and localization considerations.
- Develop high-quality backend and frontend code aligned with business objectives and secure web development standards.
- Manage integration with internal systems and third-party vendors using RESTful services, APIs, and messaging frameworks.
- Design and maintain custom APIs, Cron Jobs, ImpEx scripts, and monitoring tools for optimal platform performance.
- Provide testing, debugging, and root cause analysis (RCA) across unit, system, integration, and performance levels.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Release Management, Operations, and end users to achieve project milestones.
- Utilize SAP Hybris tools and modules including Product Cockpit, Customer Service, WCMS, OMS, and Administration Console.
- Ensure data modeling, personalization, catalog structure, pricing, and promotions align with business requirements.
- Optimize web and mobile experiences, integrating with social media platforms and analytics tools like Google Analytics and Bazaarvoice.
Essential Skills
- 7+ years of SAP Commerce / Hybris development experience (B2C and B2B platforms).
- Expertise in Hybris CMS, accelerators, backoffice, Cockpits, Cron Jobs, and ImpEx.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and portal applications.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Commerce integrations, RESTful APIs, and third-party payment systems.
- Knowledge of caching solutions such as EhCache or Oracle Coherence.
- Experience with JIRA, Rally, Git, Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Desirable Skills
- SAP Commerce certifications (preferred).
- Experience with global e-commerce projects and multi-site deployments.
- Familiarity with digital marketing integration and customer experience analytics.
- Knowledge of cloud deployments and Hybris Commerce Cloud platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (B.Tech/BE).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as SAP Commerce / Hybris Developer.
- Proven track record in 3–4 full-cycle SAP Hybris implementations.
