About the Role
As a Senior Consultant – Java Spring Boot Full Stack, you’ll play a vital role in designing and building high-performance backend systems and microservices that power modern digital applications. You’ll collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and product owners to translate functional requirements into secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Your work will directly contribute to Deloitte’s digital transformation projects for global clients, leveraging cutting-edge technologies in Java, Cloud, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Architecture
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions, ensuring code quality, modularity, and best practices.
2. Development & Deployment
- Write clean, efficient, and testable Java code aligned with design patterns and security standards.
- Develop APIs, integrate databases, and implement automated build/deployment pipelines.
- Deploy applications using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
3. Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work in Agile teams with designers, analysts, and QA engineers.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to peer code reviews.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
4. DevOps & Automation
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Monitor application health, automate testing, and optimize performance.
5. Maintenance & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during UAT and production phases.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for APIs, workflows, and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java Full Stack Development.
- Strong knowledge of Java (Java 11/17) and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Security).
- Proven experience in Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Experience deploying on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3) or other cloud platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Drools Rule Engine or JSLT for JSON transformations.
- Exposure to React or other modern front-end frameworks.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform (IaC tools).
- Knowledge of Kafka or other event-driven systems.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or other performance monitoring tools.
- Awareness of secure coding practices and data protection standards.
