About the Opportunity
As a Senior Project Consultant within EY’s Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice, you will work with public agencies, IFIs, and state departments to identify gaps in agricultural value chains, promote sustainable growth, and design impactful transformation programs.
Your work will focus on agri-technology, market linkages, exports, and innovation ecosystems—helping to build a better working world through strategic policy, data-driven insights, and collaborative execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct value chain analysis of high-value agricultural commodities in Maharashtra.
- Identify and address gaps in agri-business ecosystems, focusing on sustainability and inclusivity.
- Support the design and execution of transformation programs for government and public sector clients.
- Draft and present concept notes, reports, and proposals related to agriculture, bioeconomy, and circular economy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across EY’s Business Consulting and Transformation Delivery units.
- Engage with stakeholders including government departments, IFIs (International Financial Institutions), and development partners.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve efficiency, innovation, and governance in the public sector.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Postgraduate degree in MBA, PGDFM, Development Management, Agri-Business Management, Agriculture Science, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in:
- Agri-technology and agri start-ups
- Market linkage development
- Agri-export facilitation
- Public sector consulting or large-scale transformation projects
Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of the agriculture ecosystem of Maharashtra.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and articulation skills.
- Proficiency in report writing, concept development, and policy documentation.
- Experience working with government agencies and IFIs (preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability, curiosity, and resilience in a dynamic consulting environment.
