Key Responsibilities

SOC Operations & Incident Management

• Monitor L1 and L2 security incidents across shifts, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for escalated incidents and support the Project Manager.
• Manage ticket assignments and shift handovers to maintain SOC efficiency.
• Perform quality audits on offense analysis to ensure adherence to SOC standards.

Threat Detection & Analysis

• Proactively hunt for threats and analyze malicious activity using tools such as Cortex, Shodan, QRadar, and Qradar XSOAR/Demisto.
• Identify Indicators of Compromise (IoC) via static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Conduct advanced log analysis and triage security events, mitigating potential risks.

Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

• Train and mentor L1 and L2 engineers on the latest attack vectors and log analysis techniques.
• Collaborate with the SIEM engineering team to fine-tune detection use cases and reduce false positives.
• Maintain team morale and work-life balance while managing work pressure.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly SOC reports.
• Document security procedures, policies, and incident response playbooks including cloud security protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including endpoint, network, database, and cloud security.
• Experience with IPS, WAF, Firewalls, AV, EDR, and deception technologies.
• Knowledge of SIEM tools (QRadar) and SOAR platforms (Demisto/XSOAR).
• Ability to implement and maintain SOC policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Expertise in threat intelligence, proactive monitoring, and incident response.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework for threat analysis.

Preferred Certifications

• IBM QRadar SIEM Certification
• CISSP, CEH, CISM, or other recognized cybersecurity certifications

Location & Work Model

• Base Location: Mumbai / Navi Mumbai (office-based, 5 days/week)
• Occasional client site visits may be required.
