Key Responsibilities
As a Specialist – GBS Master Data Management, you will:
- Drive sourcing and pricing strategies for materials quotations.
- Present materials value-add to customers or suppliers and influence use of preferred suppliers.
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers during project start-ups for cost and ownership issues.
- Develop, implement, and guide supply assurance and flexibility plans.
- Manage component costs and prices locally, regionally, and globally.
- Track materials financial performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
- Define and implement pricing and costing strategies in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Increase vendor-managed inventory, reduce guide-time, and enhance Electronic Data Interface (EDI) penetration.
- Manage regional supplier contracts, including NDAs and pricing agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance and mitigating shortages or excesses.
- Participate in global and regional commodity teams and contribute to supplier scorecards.
- Drive gross material margin improvement initiatives and optimize retained purchase price variance (RPPV).
- Coordinate reconciliation processes with customers for PPV, premium charges, freight, excess/obsolete inventory, and NCNR items.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of materials sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management.
- Understanding of cost accounting, electronics component markets, and price trends.
- Familiarity with OEM product development processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in office software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in global and regional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain operations.
- Background in electronics manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement tools, data management, and cost optimization strategies.
