Key Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical support to production operations, troubleshooting plant reliability and mechanical failures.
- Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on all assigned mechanical equipment.
- Execute Basic Care activities as per operations routines under the guidance of the Discipline/Campaign Supervisor.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical systems to meet campaign targets and minimize operational impact.
- Carry out alignment of rotating equipment, flange/bolt torquing, tensioning, and basic rigging/lifting operations.
- Work safely in hazardous area zones 0, 1, and 2, complying with industry safety standards.
- Maintain and update records using SAP CMMS and relevant maintenance documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and plant operations in oil & gas or petrochemical environments.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting P&ID drawings.
- Expertise in rotating equipment alignment, flange torqueing/tensioning, and rigging/lifting procedures.
- Solid understanding of safety practices and compliance in hazardous operational zones.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of MS Office and SAP CMMS.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Completion of Secondary School education or equivalent, supplemented by a relevant trade certificate or diploma.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment in hazardous area zones.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
