Key Responsibilities
As a Data Caching Engineer at Barclays Pune, you will:
- Design, develop, and optimize caching systems using Redis, GridGain, Apache Ignite, or Oracle Coherence
- Build scalable, high-performance software solutions with Java or Python
- Implement cloud-native applications using Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Develop DevOps pipelines with GitLab, Ansible, or Chef
- Manage monitoring and logging with ELK Stack and other observability tools
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align business and technical goals
- Apply Agile methodologies for rapid, reliable software delivery
- Ensure secure coding practices to protect sensitive financial data
- Drive automation and continuous improvement for operational excellence
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and technical leadership initiatives
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong programming expertise in Java or Python
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, or cloud platforms
- Experience with in-memory caching technologies such as Redis, Apache Ignite, or Oracle Coherence
- Hands-on with DevOps tools (GitLab, Ansible, Chef) and CI/CD automation
- Strong knowledge of API development and integration principles
- Familiarity with Agile development and collaboration practices
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
