Key Responsibilities
As a Specialist – Investments at Mercer, you will:
- Manage daily performance reporting operations for pension and institutional clients.
- Measure and analyze investment returns across asset classes.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly investment performance reports covering portfolio allocations, holdings, and performance.
- Communicate with custodians, money managers, and consultants for accurate data collection.
- Support investment decision-making, risk management, and monitoring processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and client requirements.
- Drive process improvements and implement automation where possible.
- Review peer work and provide coaching/training to new hires.
- Collaborate across teams and provide updates to stakeholders on deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years’ experience in investment performance reporting, research, or portfolio analysis.
- Graduate degree (B.Com, BBA, or equivalent); Master’s in Finance/Economics/Mathematics preferred.
- Progress toward CFA or CIPM certification is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of global capital markets, asset classes, and investment strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under strict deadlines.
