Core Responsibilities
As a Principal Engineer – IT Product Support, you will:
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on Oracle EBS Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB).
- Support finance modules within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Assist developers and team members in testing, debugging, and enhancements.
- Resolve complex application issues across O2C cycle and production systems.
- Identify system bugs, escalate complex cases to Tier-Three support, and provide innovative solutions.
- Support Month-end and Year-end financial processes, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Partner with business and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Prepare Functional Design Documents and conduct gap analysis for enhancements.
- Maintain data integrity, ensure smooth integration with upstream/downstream systems, and implement process improvements.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities while ensuring timely delivery and system reliability.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12), ORMB, and invoicing applications.
- Knowledge of Revenue Recognition principles (ASC 606, IFRS 15) and Oracle Financials Accounting Hub (FAH).
- Strong understanding of ledger structures, O2C cycle, and US GAAP / International Accounting Standards.
- Technical skills in SQL, PL/SQL, integration tools, and middleware.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work with global teams, and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in functional design, documentation, and process improvement.
- Flexibility to support production, upgrades, and on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of Oracle EBS experience, with at least 3 years in ORMB functional support for insurance or financial services.
- Exposure to Oracle 12.2 upgrade, robotic process automation, NLP, or data analytics is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
