WTW is hiring a skilled Actuarial Consultant – Life, Outsourcing (OS) in Gurugram, Haryana, to join our dynamic Life Actuarial Outsourcing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on financial reporting, Solvency II valuations, IFRS17 implementation, ORSA, and with-profits projects for UK life insurance clients. Key Responsibilities
Actuarial & Technical Work
- Conduct technical reviews of major actuarial work including quarterly Solvency II reporting, experience investigations, ORSA, IFRS, and with-profits projects.
- Participate in IFRS17 implementation projects.
- Interpret, challenge, and analyze actuarial results (e.g., sensitivities, changes).
- Prepare drafts of reports and clearly communicate results to clients (actuarial and non-actuarial audiences).
- Advise junior team members on methodology and approach while enforcing professional excellence standards.
Project & Management Responsibilities
- Deliver work in alignment with financial reporting timetables.
- Liaise with clients to ensure deadlines are achievable and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Collaborate with the Head of Reporting to allocate resources and manage workflow priorities.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in processes, systems, and team operations.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a primary contact for clients, ensuring delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across global teams.
- Maintain effective communication with senior actuaries, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Team Development
- Mentor and coach junior associates, supporting skill development and career progression.
- Promote knowledge sharing and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in life insurance actuarial teams.
- Recently qualified actuary (Institute of Actuaries of India / UK) or 1–2 exams remaining.
- Experience in financial reporting, Solvency II, IFRS, and actuarial software (Prophet, RAFM).
- Basic coding skills in R, VBA, Python, SQL, or PowerShell.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and manage project deliverables independently.
- Flexibility, accountability, and drive to improve team processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality actuarial outputs in a professional environment.
