Key Responsibilities
As a Mainframe Consultant – Technology & Transformation at Deloitte, you will:
- Design & Deploy Solutions: Build, configure, and deploy technology solutions using modern tools, frameworks, and design principles.
- Automation & Robotics: Configure robotics processes and workflows, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Change Management: Understand existing processes and implement structured change control procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve day-to-day issues in robotics and IT processes, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Documentation & Testing: Maintain detailed solution documentation, test procedures, and scenarios during UAT and production.
- Process Analysis: Work with stakeholders to analyze current processes and design optimized automation flows.
- Collaboration: Partner with business and engineering teams in banking and trading environments to ensure successful solution delivery.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Technical Expertise:
- 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Engineer with IT systems and network knowledge.
- Strong Unix scripting skills.
- Basic Mainframe knowledge preferred.
- Methodologies & Tools:
- Hands-on with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar project management tools.
- Domain Knowledge: Exposure to market data, trading systems, or BFSI projects is advantageous.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Positive, proactive, and team-oriented personality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced degrees (MBA, M.Tech) are an added advantage.
- Certifications in Agile/SAFe/PMP preferred but not mandatory.
