Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager – Petrochemicals & Chemicals Consulting at Grant Thornton, you will:
- Lead consulting engagements in the Oil & Gas, Refining, and Petrochemicals sector
- Support business development and client relationship management
- Conduct commercial due diligence, pricing analysis, and supply-demand modeling
- Deliver market assessments, supply chain optimization, and refinery-petchem integration studies
- Build financial models, strategic business plans, and client proposals
- Supervise and mentor a team of analysts and consultants for high-quality project delivery
- Prepare presentations, sectoral research reports, and strategic insights for clients
Required Skills & Competencies
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in Refining, Petrochemicals, and Chemicals sector (3–6 acceptable)
- Strong knowledge of petrochemicals value chain, pricing strategies, and supply-demand modeling
- Hands-on expertise in financial modeling and corporate finance concepts
- Proven skills in sectoral research, report writing, and presentation delivery
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Prior experience in Indian petrochemicals and refining markets
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with MBA
- CFA (Level 1/2/3) certification will be an added advantage
