Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant SFS at KPMG, you will:
- Prepare and review financial statements including workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and IFRS standards.
- Provide technical accounting advisory and research support to KPMG teams and clients globally.
- Convert reporting GAAP to local GAAP and assist in new accounting standard implementations.
- Lead client and onshore team interactions to resolve compilation and audit issues.
- Mentor and train junior staff in audit procedures and financial reporting.
- Review and adjust financial data as required to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Mandatory Skills & Competencies
- Strong ability to research, analyze, and interpret accounting standards and tax pronouncements.
- Working knowledge of audit methodology, materiality concepts, and audit documentation.
- Proven ability to adapt and excel in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- CA / CPA / ACCA certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience in financial audit or advisory within public accounting or similar firms.
- Experience in compilation work for countries such as Netherlands or Australia.
- Hands-on experience with Caseware or audit software is preferred.
