Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support cloud-hosted web applications, virtual machines, databases, storage systems, and service buses.
  • Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment and system updates.
  • Monitor system performance using observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, DataDog, and Splunk.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Administer Linux, Solaris, or BSD production environments, including patching, account management, and application deployment.
  • Enforce security compliance processes and policies.
  • Automate routine cloud deployment, administration, and monitoring tasks programmatically.
  • Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations and incident management.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to roll out new products and services efficiently.

Mandatory Skills & Expertise

  • 5–8 years of experience in production Linux, Solaris, or BSD environments at medium to large scale.
  • Strong experience with AWS/Azure cloud services, including deployment and migration.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) for container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Groovy DSL.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CFengine.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation frameworks: Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of key protocols: TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, HTTP, LDAP.
  • Excellent communication skills and self-driven mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with caching architectures.
  • Knowledge of security compliance frameworks: SOC II, PCI, HIPAA, ISO27001, FedRAMP.
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with MySQL, Apache, Tomcat, and enterprise application deployment.
  • Ability to manage system uptime and performance using SLx metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or Master’s in Engineering (M.Tech/MCA).
  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, and cloud infrastructure management.
