Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Amazon teams and analysts to understand requirements and design data-driven solutions.
- Build highly available distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large datasets using AWS EMR, Redshift, S3, Glue, Kinesis, and Lambda.
- Write SQL queries and data warehousing scripts; collaborate with developers, TPMs, and PMs for end-to-end solution design.
- Design, implement, and maintain analytical data infrastructure for ad-hoc and large-scale data access.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources using AWS big data technologies and third-party ETL tools.
- Develop scalable, reusable scripts/programs using Python, Java, Unix Shell, or Ruby to solve data processing challenges.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation including design, specifications, and production support notes.
- Collaborate with QA/testing teams to develop test scripts, resolve defects, and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Provide status updates, risk assessments, and progress tracking to stakeholders and leadership.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS services: EMR, Redshift, S3, Glue, Kinesis, Lambda.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and ETL processes.
- Experience in Python or Java programming.
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and business intelligence solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica or other third-party integration tools.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Exposure to cloud data architecture and analytics frameworks.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Advanced certifications in AWS, Big Data, or Data Analytics are a plus.
