Responsibilities
As a PwC KYC Associate in Bangalore, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Client Due Diligence (CDD): Identity verification, beneficial ownership, and source of funds checks for entities such as Banks, Trusts, Funds, and SPVs.
- Reviewing client documents and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Performing sanctions and adverse media screening using compliance tools and global databases.
- Researching and analyzing client profiles to detect potential financial crime risks.
- Assessing client risk based on activities, geography, and business model.
- Maintaining detailed KYC profiles and monitoring documentation.
- Executing periodic reviews and event-driven reviews for client accounts.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders on KYC and AML issues.
- Enhancing compliance controls and KYC procedures for greater efficiency.
- Staying current with global AML, KYC, and CFT regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in KYC, AML compliance, or financial crime prevention.
- Strong understanding of AML laws, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and KYC frameworks.
- Proficiency with KYC software, compliance tools, and risk databases.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a compliance team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification.
- Experience with large multinational banks or financial institutions.
- Knowledge of jurisdiction-specific AML/KYC regulations.
