Key Responsibilities
As a PwC India KYC Associate, you will:
- Perform Client Due Diligence (CDD) including verification of identity, source of funds, and beneficial ownership.
- Analyze client risk levels considering industry, geography, and business activities.
- Conduct sanctions screening and adverse media checks using specialized compliance tools.
- Review and maintain KYC profiles, ongoing monitoring, and regulatory documentation.
- Carry out periodic and event-driven reviews of client accounts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve KYC-related issues and ensure compliance.
- Support research on clients using databases, regulatory sources, and internal systems.
- Continuously improve KYC/AML processes to strengthen compliance efficiency.
- Stay updated on global and local regulatory requirements (AML, BSA, CFT).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in KYC, AML, or financial crime compliance.
- Strong knowledge of BSA, AML, KYC regulations, and risk frameworks.
- Proficiency with KYC databases, tools, and compliance software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication with ability to present findings clearly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
- Experience with large-scale financial institutions.
- Knowledge of local jurisdiction-specific regulatory compliance requirements.
