Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Problem Solving
- Conduct technical assessments to resolve refinery and field fuel quality issues.
- Provide technical guidance on fuel products and applications to support ExxonMobil business objectives.
- Support global improvement initiatives to enhance fuel product performance.
Industry Collaboration & Standards
- Represent ExxonMobil in industry standardization groups, technical forums, and joint research programs.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and third-party partners to understand fuel component performance and market trends.
- Review and summarize complex regulatory language, providing actionable guidance on fuel product impacts.
Energy Transition Support
- Monitor developments in future powertrain technologies and fuels.
- Identify opportunities to support sustainable and low-emission fuel solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- B.Sc, M.Sc, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fuel technology for B.Sc/B.Sc or M.Sc candidates; PhD candidates may be considered with zero experience.
- Expertise in fuel applications, motor gasoline, diesel, and transport fuels.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Independent, proactive, and capable of taking initiative.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work outside core hours as needed.
