Responsibilities
Machinery Engineering & Surveillance
- Provide technical oversight for remote machinery surveillance programs.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and maintenance strategy optimization.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and vendor evaluation activities.
Project & Operational Support
- Participate in machinery risk assessments, MOC evaluations, and reliability initiatives.
- Evaluate and qualify new machinery technologies and suppliers.
- Lead machinery selection, sizing, design, installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor junior machinery engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Oversee activities of engineering contractors and machinery suppliers.
- Contribute to machinery optimization and integrity programs.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
- 5+ years of experience in upstream or downstream oil & gas machinery engineering, operations, or maintenance.
- Proficiency with centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating engines, motors, generators, and pumps.
- Experience in machinery shutdown planning, reliability, and maintenance concepts.
- Skilled in machinery selection, design, operation, surveillance, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of oil and gas production operations including oil treating, gas processing, and compression systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally for extended periods.
