Responsibilities
As an Analyzer Engineer at ExxonMobil Bengaluru, you will:
- Develop and manage analyzer equipment strategies to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide technical expertise on field and online analyzers (chromatographic, spectroscopic, electrochemical, physical property analyzers, toxic gas detectors).
- Monitor analyzer performance, using statistical tools to identify performance gaps and improvements.
- Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause analysis for analyzer failures.
- Drive reliability improvements and cost-effective technology deployment for analyzer systems.
- Support greenfield and brownfield projects, including design specifications, cost estimation, engineering surveillance, and commissioning.
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP/HAZID studies, and factory/site acceptance tests.
- Develop and execute lifecycle management plans for analyzer systems, including obsolescence management.
- Provide training to site personnel on analyzer systems and instrumentation best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorβs degree in Instrumentation & Controls, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering (minimum GPA 6.0).
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting online process analyzers in oil & gas, petrochemical, or refining industries.
- Expertise with process analyzers, sample handling systems, analyzer shelters, and physical property analyzers.
- Knowledge of analyzer communication protocols, DCS/PLC integration, and instrumentation networking.
- Familiarity with industry standards, local regulations, and codes.
- Work permit eligibility to work in India.
Preferred:
- Experience with multivariate model-based analyzers and advanced process measurement techniques.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization tools (SAP, Analytics for Excel, Tableau).
- Exposure to international projects in MNCs, WOFEs, or JVs.
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
