Key Responsibilities
1. Assembly Line Engineering
- Design, develop, and optimize automated and semi-automated assembly lines (screwing, tightening, glue dispensing).
- Set up and validate torque parameters, screwing profiles, dispensing paths, and leak testing.
2. Process Optimization
- Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Identify bottlenecks and implement cycle time reduction strategies.
- Plan layouts with line balancing and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
3. Automation & Control Systems
- Collaborate with automation teams for PLC programming updates and HMI improvements.
- Support installation, debugging, and troubleshooting of vision systems for quality and detection.
4. Quality & SPC
- Implement and maintain SPC systems for critical processes.
- Ensure traceability, FMEA documentation, APQP compliance, and audit readiness.
5. Lean & Six Sigma
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (5S, Poka-Yoke, DMAIC).
- Lead projects focused on cost, quality, and efficiency improvements.
6. Equipment & Maintenance
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Support equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and requalification post-upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in automated assembly line operations (automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma tools, and SPC systems.
- Proficiency in PLC, automation systems, and quality assurance processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in FMEA, APQP, and statistical process control.
- Hands-on experience with vision systems integration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead continuous improvement and lean projects.
