Summary
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring a Senior Analyst – Business Development in International Development for its Social Impact Practice Area. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur or Gurgaon, India, and focuses on building partnerships with global donors, foundations, and development finance institutions (DFIs). The Senior Analyst will lead business development, bid management, and proposal writing for international development projects across sectors such as climate resilience, education, healthcare, agriculture, economic development, and digital inclusion. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Bidding
- Manage the international development pipeline in Asia.
- Identify donor opportunities, build consortia, and position BCG for bids.
- Draft capability statements, expressions of interest, and CV management for proposals.
Proposal & Commercial Strategy
- Lead bid planning, writing technical and non-technical sections.
- Develop winning themes and methodologies for competitive tenders.
- Design commercial strategies, including pricing and profitability analysis.
Relationship Management
- Build strong networks with donors, DFIs, and foundations including ADB, DFAT, JICA, USAID, World Bank, FCDO, Gates Foundation, and GIZ.
- Strengthen partnerships across beneficiary institutions and consortium partners.
Knowledge & Impact
- Support delivery of flagship programs that advance the UN SDGs.
- Collaborate with global BCG practice areas in climate, health, education, infrastructure, and economic development.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and innovation within the Social Impact Practice.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in international development consulting or donor-funded project management.
- Proven track record in donor-funded bid development (ADB, DFAT experience highly preferred).
- Strong writing skills for both technical and non-technical bid content.
- Subject matter exposure to climate adaptation, resilience, economic development, education, health, agriculture, or inclusion initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
