Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer – PDU Division at Flex, you will:
- Design and create GA drawings based on customer specifications.
- Develop electrical schematics and Bill of Materials (BoM) for power distribution systems.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to finalize electrical designs.
- Work with Autodesk Inventor to create/modify 3D & 2D assembly and part models.
- Execute mechanical assembly designs and 3D/2D parts for procurement.
- Utilize Autodesk Vault for BOM management, drawings, and change analysis.
- Draft SOPs and work instructions for PDU assembly and testing.
- Perform electrical testing of PDUs, including Hi-Pot and functional tests.
- Define testing methods and SOPs for PDU products.
- Review and analyze 3D model assemblies at component levels.
- Coordinate with customer sites for process transition and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards for PDU assembly/testing.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- B.E. in Electrical/Electronics (EEE/ECE) or Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–7 years’ experience as a Design Engineer in manufacturing (preferably in PDU assembly).
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, panel assembly, wiring, and circuits.
- Proficiency in 3D/2D mechanical assembly design for PDU products.
- Hands-on experience with electrical and functional testing of PDU products.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Strong team collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in switchgear, busbar, and breaker design.
- Knowledge of global manufacturing standards and compliance practices.
