Key Responsibilities
As a Senior AEM Software Engineer at Caterpillar, you will:
- Design and develop scalable web applications using Adobe AEM (Adobe CQ).
- Work with AEMaaCS (Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service).
- Build custom workflows, templates, components, and dialogs.
- Migrate on-premise solutions to AEMaaCS.
- Configure Adobe Assets including tags, taxonomy, and metadata structures.
- Set up and optimize dispatcher/CDN (Akamai preferred).
- Contribute to planning, estimates, and Agile development practices (Scrum).
- Integrate AEM with web applications using REST, web services, and APIs.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Review and improve code written by other engineers.
Essential Skills & Experience
To succeed as a Caterpillar Senior AEM Engineer, you should bring:
- 5–8 years of CMS experience, with at least 3 years in AEM.
- Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEMaaCS).
- Proven migration experience from on-premises to AEMaaCS.
- Knowledge of Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Campaign.
- Strong skills in Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, dispatcher/CDN setup, and AKAMAI.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum).
- Hands-on knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of application architecture patterns and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
