About the Role

EY is seeking a Manager – Supply Chain & Operations Consulting within our Advanced Manufacturing, Mobility & Infrastructure (AMI) industry practice. You will collaborate with leading organizations to optimize procurement, logistics, and manufacturing processes while delivering measurable value through cost reduction, supplier negotiations, and operational transformation.

This role combines business consulting expertise with deep supply chain knowledge, offering the opportunity to work with industry leaders across Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, EPC, Metals, and Utilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager – Supply Chain & Operations Consulting at EY, you will:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies and procurement operating models.
• Drive procurement transformation initiatives across large organizations.
• Lead projects in category management, spend analysis, supplier evaluation, RFP/RFQ development, and negotiations.
• Optimize costs across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations.
• Conduct strategic sourcing and cost modeling to deliver measurable savings.
• Perform gap assessments, design future state operating models, and governance frameworks.
• Handle large spend data analysis and present actionable insights through reports and presentations.
• Perform market intelligence and secondary research to support client deliverables.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
• Mentor junior consultants and share industry knowledge within the EY network.

Required Skills & Experience

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial, or Civil).
• Postgraduate degree – MBA, M.Tech, or MS.

Experience:

• 3 – 7 years in supply chain and operations projects.
• Hands-on experience in:
  • Procurement strategy & category management.
  • Contract management and spend analytics.
  • Should-cost and cost optimization models.
  • Operating model redesign & governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint for data-driven insights.
• Industry exposure to Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Industrial Products, Manufacturing, EPC, Metals, or Infrastructure sectors.
• Prior consulting experience is an added advantage.

Technical & Business Skills:

• Strong business acumen with deep supply chain expertise.
• Excellent problem-solving and client-facing communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for project delivery and client engagements.
