Key Responsibilities
As a Data Strategy Manager at EY Bengaluru, you will:
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide data strategies aligned with business goals.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies for quality, security, and compliance.
- Oversee data management activities – acquisition, integration, transformation, and storage.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives (Azure/AWS/GCP) for medium-to-large enterprises.
- Architect and design data warehouses and data lakes to enable advanced analytics.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot projects to validate new solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical architects, SMEs, and developers.
- Mentor team members and provide leadership in data engineering best practices.
- Present insights, proposals, and solutions to clients through strong communication and visualization.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of data models, warehousing, and cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos).
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong background in Azure services: Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Kafka.
- Ability to design on-prem to cloud migration strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, client-handling, and project management skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 10–12+ years of experience in data strategy and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with data engineering and database integration.
- Prior consulting experience with Big 4 or technology firms preferred.
- Exposure to advanced tools: JSON, Cloud Foundry, MatLab, Cassandra, Informatica, Python, AngularJS.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on global client projects.
