Key Responsibilities
As a Production Engineer at QatarEnergy LNG, your duties will include:
- Preparing and executing Upstream Integrated Gas Volume and Activity Plans (UGP/IAP).
- Coordinating with stakeholders to monitor well test and injection programs in collaboration with the Operations team.
- Supporting production optimization to maximize gas and condensate recovery.
- Assisting in contingency planning for production shortages and downtime to maintain LNG supply.
- Analyzing production data from offshore and onshore facilities to monitor system performance from reservoir to delivery.
- Updating and maintaining Well Performance and Network Performance models.
- Conducting PLT interpretations and production profiling to enhance decision-making.
- Designing and supporting stimulation activities, including well testing, cleanup, and performance evaluation.
- Reviewing well performance post-stimulation and recommending remedial actions.
- Contributing input for re-completions, development wells, and clean-up operations.
Skills & Expertise Required
- Strong knowledge of production planning, forecasting, and optimization tools.
- Expertise in well modeling, stimulation design, and reservoir depletion methods.
- Experience with production profiling, allocation, and PLT analysis.
- Familiarity with drilling operations, reservoir management, fluid sampling, and well testing.
- Hands-on knowledge of production facilities, flow assurance, pipeline management, and project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in production operations, optimization, and planning in oil & gas.
- At least 2 years of experience in production technology applications, stimulation, and PLT analysis.
- Proven ability to manage production system performance and implement optimization strategies.
