Key Responsibilities
As Offshore Installation Manager at QatarEnergy LNG, you will:
- Provide overall leadership to offshore production, maintenance, and logistics teams.
- Act as Incident Commander (Level 1) for offshore emergencies and support Level 2 response teams.
- Oversee shutdowns, start-ups, subsea inspections, pigging, and integrity management programs.
- Ensure alignment of offshore operations with corporate safety, environmental, and production goals.
- Direct offshore activities including drilling, completions, projects, brownfield tie-ins, and SIMOPS.
- Manage offshore accommodation, logistics, and employee welfare for a large multicultural workforce.
- Approve and control budgets, annual work plans, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive offshore safety culture, environmental compliance, and operational integrity.
- Lead recruitment, training, succession planning, and competency assurance programs.
- Collaborate with onshore facilities and stakeholders to ensure reliable and on-spec LNG delivery.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong leadership and decision-making in offshore operations.
- Advanced knowledge of SIMOPS, brownfield projects, and shutdown turnaround management.
- Expertise in safety management, risk mitigation, and emergency response.
- Ability to manage multicultural teams in challenging offshore environments.
- Proficiency in coordinating offshore projects with drilling and completion teams.
- Strong budget management and cost control skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and crisis management abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related discipline).
- 12+ years of oil & gas or petrochemical industry experience.
- 5+ years as an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM).
- OPITO certification is mandatory.
- Hands-on start-up and commissioning experience is a strong advantage.
