Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Backend Developer at Bain & Company, you will:
- Build backend services using Python frameworks like FastAPI and Django Rest Framework.
- Design and implement APIs with authentication, versioning, and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Manage relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, data scientists, and business teams to deliver seamless solutions.
- Deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and work with CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain code quality, best practices, and reusable architecture.
- Support Agile development cycles, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Contribute to innovation and problem-solving in backend engineering.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Python programming.
- Experience with FastAPI (async APIs) and Django Rest Framework.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design.
- Proficiency in SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB/Redis (preferred).
- Knowledge of Pydantic, DRF serializers, and data validation techniques.
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD practices.
- Bonus: Basic knowledge of React.js or Vue.js for smoother collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
